The effect of the forest edge (increasing of species diversity and density in bird community) decreases in mountains with the increasing of altitude. In comparison with the plain forests the difference between the bird’s species structure of the forest edge and in depth of the forest grows essentially. Frequently the population density of birds in the forest edge is lower than in depth of the forest here. [Ukrainian].
