Data were collected during an expedition for searching of the Greater Spotted Eagle on 25.06–8.07.2009. It is a very rare species included in Red Book of Ukraine. Its total number is estimated in 10–20 breeding pairs. The species was wide distributed in the past but now its breeding is confirmed only for Rivne and Volynia regions (NW Ukraine). Searches of the Greater Spotted Eagle were unsuccessful but information about 12 other species of birds of prey was obtained. [Russian].
