Since beginning of XXth century 7 invasions of Nutcracker in the Crimean peninsula were registered. Only subspecies N. c. macrorhynchos was recorded. In autumn of 2008 has started a new invasion. Nutcrackers were observed in the Crimea since early October. Information about records of birds in 24 points of the peninsula were obtained and analysed. The most high number was observed in the second half of October and the first half of November. Some observers met flocks up to 20–40 individuals. The last birds were found in September and October of 2009. In some points in spring of 2009 display behaviour and nest building were observed. This invasion differed from the previous ones. It was the longest (more than 1 year), number of Nutcrackers was the highest, elements of breeding behaviour were observed. [Russian].
